The Punjab government has announced a significant Ramzan relief program for the poor people. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the distribution of free flour supplies for special educational and Ramadan packages. This Ramadan special package, allocated in the budget with a grant of 64 billion rupees, aims to support families struggling to meet their basic needs and engaged in low-income jobs.

Families with monthly earnings ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 rupees, facing challenges in purchasing food and essential items, will receive assistance during Ramadan. Rashan Subsidy for Punjab Muft Atta Scheme 2024:
The Punjab Muft Atta Scheme for Ramadan offers free flour and other household essentials, including two kilograms each of sugar, ghee, rice, and gram flour. This Ramzan Rashan package will be distributed exclusively to families with a Poverty Means Test (PMT) score of less than 30 to 40 percent, and possessing valid identity cards.
Additionally, families already enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Program and receiving financial aid can also apply.
Moreover, eligible families can avail special discounts on food items under the Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program. To obtain discounts on essential food items, individuals must visit their nearest utility store, present their National Identity Card, and receive a 40% discount on specified items.
People Eligible for the 8070 Muft Atta Scheme:
Criteria for eligibility for the Punjab Atta Scheme include residency in Pakistan, possession of a valid National Identity Card, registration of the phone number on the CNIC, enrollment in the Benazir Income Support Program, poverty score below 30 to 40%, no employment overseas, no Hajj or Umrah performed, absence of a bank account or funds in a bank account, income between 20,000 to 25,000 rupees, and no family member holding a government job.
