All About the Free WiFi Scheme

This decision was made during a meeting between the Chief Minister and officials from the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). As part of this initiative, PITB has been entrusted with the task of modernizing existing infrastructure, including hotspots, to ensure seamless internet provision.

Reviving and Enhancing Essential Services

This initiative marks a noteworthy revival of the complimentary WiFi services originally introduced by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government in 2013. While the services were discontinued during the tenure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government due to outstanding bills, CM Maryam Nawaz’s administration has reinstated and augmented this essential service, empowering communities with connectivity.
